Along with my wife and another married couple I recently stayed overnight at the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick, Northumberland. I have got say that, from my first booking enquiry (through a Woucher deal) to leaving the hotel, this has to be the friendliest hotel that we have stayed at! The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The pity is that we were only able to stay the one night, as the place was fully booked, which isn’t surprising, judging by our experience.
