It was clear that the children have genuinely loved this story and this came out in their reviews. We have lots of Roald Dahl fans!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We then went on to look at diary features and first person writing. We read some examples of Florence Nightingale&#8217;s diary and practised writing from her point of view. Next week we will use what we&#8217;ve learned in history to recount an event in her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spelling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This week we have looked at words with the wr spelling of r and also the common exception words: old, both, only, cold, told etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Multiplication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have started work on multiplication, looking at making and adding equal groups. In these pictures of 2MW you can see 2 equal groups of 6 and 6 equal groups of 2. This week we have compared the lives of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole.
