It has been a strong start to the new term and calendar year. I am still doing school tours for prospective families – they are cutting it fine with the Reception deadline next week – and school is settled and focused. As usual, we do these tours at any time or day: always seeing positive provision to be proud of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This week both Year 3 classes have been to Bradford Alhambra to see a pantomime. For many, it was their first experience of a theatre and many were amazed at how big it was. On Tuesday, a couple of our children even got chosen to go on stage as part of the show – what a thrill! Next week, KS1 classes are each having a workshop with the British Library, Y1 classes are visiting Cartwright Hall gallery and Y4 classes have ‘Sam, the Sound Man’ workshops. So busy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In December, the government officially published all the Y6 SATs data from last summer. We know that our classes did exceptionally well: second only to Pudsey Lowtown across the whole Pudsey\/Farsley\/Calverley area. Academic standards are strong in our school.
