Nurture at Golden Flatts

Golden Flatts is accredited by the national nurture schools award. The school addresses the social, emotional and learning needs of pupils by providing the necessary help to remove the barriers to learning. 

There is great emphasis on emotional literacy, language development and communication. Pupils are immersed in an accepting and warm environment that helps replace missing/distorted early nurturing experiences and helps pupils develop positive relationships with both teachers and peers.

The six principles of Nurture

Clubs at Golden Flatts

At Golden Flatts, we include the children in deciding which clubs to offer by listening to their ideas and interests.   We then offer specific children places in after school clubs that we have created based off children’s interests and talents. We believe this allows children to excel in their talents. Consequently, from this, we can assist children in developing their skills with outside agencies. After school clubs at Golden Flatts run on Friday afternoons and sometimes there is an additional club running during the week.

We welcome any ideas about new clubs we could put on to support our children to either develop or learn new skills.
